It was funny to me to see them together like that. :-) And I'm glad you liked the DAT too.<BR/><BR/>A couple of you mentioned the phones in that last tree pic - the phone on the left is a repro and is a working phone (well, <I>was</I> a working phone, but I think it needs a new cord...last time I used it, it just went dead on me in the middle of a call!), but the one on the right is the real deal. I have not put up a tree, hung a wreath or done any other kind of decorating. We have such a small family to buy for and most of them live far away so it just isn't the fun it used to be.<BR/><BR/>I like your little fake tree. In spite of all my efforts (going to holiday open houses, tree lightings, listing to holiday tunes) I still am not in the spirit this year. I'm not sure if it is the commercialism that surrounds us more and more each year, the fact that our family tends to gift one another throughout the year rather than saving up for some large gift at Christmas, or just my current state of being. My Christmas tree has the opposite trend to yours, it is growing too big for its boots! Where I grew up we used fir trees, but here they sell pines, so in a fit of nostalgia a few years ago I bought a tiny fir and planted it in a terracotta pot. It was cute and easy to decorate, and after doing Christmas duty, joined 2 friends in the front garden. So nice to not have to kill a tree and throw it out after Christmas. But I totally understand that competitive thing that is so easy to get into while blogging. For instance I get unreasonably ticked off that everyone rushes to post their Sunday Scribblings on about Thursday (within an hour of the topic going up) just so they will be higher up the list and they will get more visitors.
